Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of DevTooling — a free suite of formatters, converters, viewers, comparers and generators for XML, JSON, YAML, CSV, EDI and PDF, plus utilities like the Cron Generator, JWT Decoder, Base64/URL/HTML Encoder and JSONPath/XPath Tester (together, the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
The Service
The Service is provided free of charge, without any account or sign-up. Every tool — the formatters, viewers, converters, compare tools, and utilities — runs entirely in your browser and never sends your data anywhere. The XSLT Compiler is the one exception: your XML and XSLT are sent to our server to run the transformation, held in memory only for the duration of that request, and never written to disk, logged, or stored. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Prohibited Uses
- Don't use the Service to process or transform unlawful, infringing, or malicious content.
- Don't attempt to disrupt, overload, or automate abusive traffic against the Service (the
/api/transformendpoint is rate-limited per client for this reason). - Don't attempt to bypass the Service's security boundaries — for example, inline
msxsl:scriptand the XSLTdocument()function are intentionally disabled because this is a public, unauthenticated tool, and probing for ways around that is not permitted. - Don't use the Service to reverse-engineer, scrape at scale, or resell access to it.
No Warranty
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," with no warranty of any kind — including accuracy of transformation output, uptime, or fitness for a particular purpose. You're responsible for verifying that any output meets your needs before relying on it, especially for anything used in production systems.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is offered without liability for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from its use, including data loss or business interruption. Use the Service at your own risk.
Intellectual Property
The Service's design, branding, and underlying code belong to DevTooling and its operator. You retain all rights to whatever you paste, type, or upload into a tool — the Service claims no ownership over it, and (aside from the XSLT Compiler's one server-side request, as described in the Privacy Policy) it never leaves your browser in the first place.
Advertising and Third-Party Content
Some pages reserve space for advertising, which may be served through third-party ad networks such as Google AdSense, or sold directly. We aren't responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of any third-party ad or link that appears on the Service — see our Privacy Policy for how those networks may use cookies or similar technologies. Ads don't affect how any tool works.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from your use of the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India.
Changes
Since this is a free, evolving tool, these terms and the Service itself may change at any time without prior notice — most recently to add the Intellectual Property and Governing Law sections. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
